സ്വാതത്ര്യത്തിന്റെ എഴുപത്തഞ്ചാം വാർഷിക ആഘോഷങ്ങളോടനുബന്ധിച്ചു കൊച്ചി കായൽ പരപ്പിൽ ഇന്നലെ നാവികസേന നടത്തിയ സെയിൽ പരേഡ് ഏറെ ശ്രദ്ധയാകർഷിച്ചു. നാവികസേന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും നേവി ചിൽഡ്രൻ സ്‌കൂളിലെ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും ഉൾപ്പെടെ എഴുപത്തഞ്ചോളം പേരാണ് ഇതിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തത്. ഇന്ത്യൻ നേവൽ സെയിലിങ് അസോസിയേഷനാണ് ഈ പരിപാടിക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയത്.
ചെറുപായ് വഞ്ചികളുടെ മാതൃകയിൽ കാറ്റിന്റെ ദിശകനുസൃതമായി നിയന്ത്രണ സംവിധാനങ്ങളോടെ ഓളപ്പരപ്പിൽ തെന്നി നീങ്ങുന്ന ഈ വിനോദം വിദേശ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഏറെ പ്രചാരമുള്ളതാണ്. അതു കൊണ്ട്തന്നെ ഇന്നലത്തെ ഏറെ വ്യത്യസ്തമായ ഈ പരിപാടി കാഴ്ച്ചക്കാരിൽ കൗതുകം ഉണർത്തി.
വൈസ് അഡ്‌മിറൽ എ കെ ചാവ്‌ല മുഖ്യാതിഥിയായി എത്തിയപ്പോൾ മറ്റ് ഉയർന്ന നാവിക ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം ചടങ്ങുകൾക്ക് കൂടുതൽ ശോഭയേകി. കൊച്ചി കായലിൽ എറണാകുളം ചാനൽ ഭാഗത്താണ് ഏറെ കൗതുകരമായ ഈ വിനോദ പരിപാടി അരങ്ങേറിയത്. സ്വാതത്ര്യത്തിന്റെ എഴുപത്തഞ്ചാം വാർഷികതോടനുബന്ധിച്ചു ആസാദി കാ അമൃത് മഹോത്സവതോടൊപ്പമാണ് ഇത് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്.
SAIL PARADE TO COMMEMORATE AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV AT HQSNC
As part of commemorative activities in the 75th year of independence, a sail parade was conducted in the Ernakulum channel, Kochi on 23 Sep 21. A total of 75 personnel including children from Navy Children School participated in the event. Vice Admiral AK Chawla, PVSM, AVSM, NM, VSM, ADC Flag Officer Commanding in Chief Southern Naval Command was the Chief Guest for the event. INSVs of the Ocean Sailing Node (Mandovi), all sailing boats of INWTC(Koc) and sailing whalers from Seamanship School took part in the sail parade. Officers and sailors of SNC showcased their talent. Hobiecat and 29er sail boats of NSRY, Kochi were adjudged as the best decorated sail boat on the occasion. The event was conducted under the aegis of Indian Naval Sailing Association (INSA).
